CENTUM CS3000 with Wonderware InTouch

General developer offers the following scheme:

0. Zero level - Yokogawa Sensors;
1. Low level - Yokogawa Controllers;
2. Middle level - Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 and Wonderware InTouch, connected via Yokogawa ExaOPC.

Is there any sense to use InTouch with ExaOPC in addition to CENTUM CS3000?

(Chemical industry, if it does matter.)

Thanks.

You'd lose all the integration that a DCS offers by going to a third-party HMI. probably the developer know only how to do HMI/MMI in wonderware? Maybe the application was done before with PLC and Wonderware and he just wants to port the same graphics. Could be a million reasons.
