Motor thermal load

What is the concept of motor load in terms of temperature? When a motor was started, I observed on the display of ABB REF relay (which is installed on that motor's switchgear) that motor load (mentioned in degree C) is increasing continuously while motor current is constant. After sometime, this increasing temperature settled at around 102 degree C.

What was that? Was it motor's winding temperature? But if it was then why current for all three phases was constant through out? Why after some time, it settled at 102 deg C (& then remained there through out the operation of motor?

Its a 11 KV Motor & alarm for thermal overload is at 110 deg C while tripping is at 132 deg C.
