We use AC450 with OS500 architecture in our plant. very often we received signal error in the input loop and it is back normal by itself in 100-200 milli second. When we look in to the input sensor it is perfectly alright. this is happening very randomly in all signals. We do not know the root cause of this problem. Any one in this forum give me the answer for the about problem?

 

Well, no, we can't really give you the answer but maybe we can help you to find it. Some things to consider ...

What type of I/O system are you using (S100, S800, Advant Fieldbus etc) ?

What exact error messages are you getting? Do you see these messages on the Alarm Lists, System Lists, On-Line Builder etc?

Is it only Analog Inputs, Digital inputs etc or all I/O?

Is it ALL signals in the plant, or is it just in one area, one controller, one I/O bus etc.

What is common on all these signals eg. earthing, power supplies etc?

Are you looking at the "Input Sensor" when the problem occurs or afterwards, when it is working again?
