I am trying to upgrade from a 5/03 to a 5/05. I have to keep the dh485 network, but I can't get the net-aic+ to do both (ethernet and dh485). Also I added another panel view 300 this has a rs232 (dh485). I thought it came with the pheonix connector but its a rs232 9 pin d type, but I cant get rslinx to see it, or from rs232 to pc. I've spent past my budget on this already. Any body have the anwser? (whammonds [at] mountaire.com)

Try Rockwell Automation's Knowledgebase article 5280, 15757, 19234, 19853 or 17573.

SLC Configuration:

1. Configure the SLC Ethernet port.

DH485 PV Terminal
2. Configure SLC CH0 to DH485.
3. To enable DH485 Pass-Through communications set both bits S:34/0 and S:34/5 to '0'. (default)
4. Populate the SLC routing table with the IP addresses of the PC.

DF1 PV Terminal
2. Configure SLC CH0 to DF1.
3. To enable DF1 Pass-Through communications set bit S:34/0 to '1' and S:34/5 to '1'.
NOTE: S:34/5 and S:34/0 must be set back to '0' for the DF1 terminal to begin communicating with the SLC again.
4. Populate the SLC routing table with the IP addresses of the PC.
