Application Questions and Problems topic
Posted by matteki on 2 July, 2009 - 12:52 am
Hi,

I'm new here...

I read in catalog, there is many type of diaphragm seal for pressure gauge. (capsule, welded or bonded and clamped type, etc)

Firstly I would like to know how many type of diaphragm seal have for pressure gauge?

And, I would like to know what is the difference between all this type. (internal part and physically)

And lastly i would like to know the application of it...for example, why we choose capsule type?

Hope someone here can help...

Thanks..

Hello Mettiki,

Just go to this link and download product catalog(6.16): http://www.emersonprocess.com/rosemount/products/level/m1199.html.

Here you will find everything which comes under the roof the remote seals for pressure gauges & transmitters.

You might also want to look at other vendors' seals. ABB for example have an innovative nanodeposition-coated diaphragm. Other vendors have other reasons why their diaphragms are good, too. Wika, E+H, Yokogawa, Honeywell, Foxboro, Yamatake, and too many others. It doesn't help to only point at one single vendor, even if the vendor does have excellent products.

Hi,

you also may want to check out this European company called Badotherm. They are supposed to be a specialist in diaphragm seals as well.

www.badotherm.com.

But what would you like to know. For what application or is it just a generic question?
