We have a problem. after we made change in the program and make build to the program our computer stake and the only way was to reset him, but we don't do a save operetion to the program. after we connect again there was a diffrent message and we can't transfer from the plc to pc.

Is there any option to transfer from plc to pc in this situation?

Thanks,

Your messge is very hard to understand so I am going to repeat it so that I can meake sure that I understood the issue.

1. You were connected to a PLC with Unity Pro and made a on-line change.

2. Before you could download the change to the PLC the PC stopped responding and you had to reboot.

3. You have attempted to conenct to the PLC and have received a warnign message. What was the specific warning message?

4. If you tuned on the "Upload Functionality" from within the Unity Pro project on your initial load you should be able to upload the existing project from your PLC. If not you will need to locate your backup copu of the project which will have either a STA or XEF format and re-load the controller.

5. What version of Unity Pro are you using and what PLC are you attempting to program?

As ask before: do you have your upload information activated? If not you cannot upload a program from the PLC to the PC.

Furthermore if you got an error during the transfer, it is possible that the memory of the PLC is now empty. In which case upload if obviously impossible. Does your PLC still worked?

I think there is a file named preject_name.BAK which should correspond to the last save or the last download. You can rename this file into a stu file and open it with Unity. Possibly your change will have been saved.

Look if near the red "Different" is written "upload info ok". If not so you have to define your project to do "automatic upload information to the plc". Now I am not near a computer with unity but I will look later and write you where to find the definitions in the menus.

I am sorry but this will not solve your problem now. It will prevent problems in the future.

I think that you have to download the project to the plc again. First look for a file with projectname and extension STU. If you don't find so try to find files with extension BAK or STA or XEF or Greg and Robert Willis wrote.

Robert

In Unity Pro you must turn on the feature that allows you to upload the program from the controller. Once you select this option, Unity Pro will include the information required to upload the application and all documentation including the animation tables if selected. If this option is not turned on, then it is impossible to upload the application file.
