I'am trying to establish communication between Wonderware SCADA and a Motorola RTU via MOSCAD I/O server of Wonderware. The configurations were done successfully and the communication status was read as "GOOD" at the MOSCAD server. Since the running SCADA can't be disturbed frequently, the same was configured on Microsoft Excel, which read it as"1". When the communication failed(The RTU Unplugged from the network), the MOSCAD server read "GOOD" and Microsoft Excel read a "1". The formula used to acess was "=MOSCAD|RIVER!Status".
Further exploring to communicate the I/O's, I configured an address of the Motorola RTU on the Microsoft Excel which responded "#NAME?" with a comment "The Formula Contains unrecognized text". The formula used for the indication was "=MOSCAD|RIVER!T11C0R5". But the formula used was similar to the illustration on the MOSCAD I/O server manual.
