Application Questions and Problems topic

I urgently need advice. I received a heat detector (certified Class 1 Div 1)and a EExd junction box. Both items are to be installed in a Zone 1 or Class 1 Div 1 hazardous area.

The heat detector (1/2" NPTM) and junction box (1/2" NPTF) come in two separate items. Can I just screwed in the heat detector to the junction box, terminate the heat detector flying leads to the junction box and still maintain the Exd certification?

Your feedback is much appreciated.
