we bought an HMI machine HP 7900 with all soft ware and data base rom GE. we try to backup that machine using Acronic and Ghost programs. we were able to do, but we cannot have the license for cimplicity, and windows run only for 3 days and could not log to it again. Is there a way to do the full backup including license like we did before on WIN NT4 and WIN2000?

Its not entirely clear from your post what you are trying to do. You said you tried to backup the machine with Ghost and Acronis, which one was it? You say you were able to do it, but you don't have a license for cimplicity?

With the older versions of cimplicity/TCI etc. there was no software protection, so people could install the same software on multiple machines and only pay for one copy, is this what you are trying to do? Newer versions of TCI require a hardware dongle to operate. Cimplicity has a key that does not seem to copy over to a new machine(mac ID or other hardware identifier)

If you better explain what you are trying to do you may find more help, but to me its sounds kind of "fishy".
