control Modbus with iPhone, iPad

I found a SCADA app in the app store called scadamobile and scadamobile lite that allows you to monitor PLC systems.

G'day,

that SCADAMobile app is really quite good. Whilst it doesn't offer the capability to import graphics and do graphic HMI's, it does have some really useful features.

The latest version supports integer lookup tables for text and separate slave ID's for pieces of equipment.

I have been experimenting with the app with a Tesys T on ethernet recently and its really quite good. I can monitor the status of the unit and receive information about the last 5 faults.

Today i will start playing around with using an Altivar drive with the app and using the fault code lookup (which i have tested before and is fantastic).

Cheers, Daniel

I don't know about iridiummobile but ScadaMobile will control any modbus device very fast. You just tell the app the Registers you want to control through a csv file and you'll get them displayed on a list similar to the contacts app. You also have options for changing certain display aspects. The app is really cool and literally flies when used on a local WiFi. Very recommendable.

I've used ScadaMobile now for a few months, and I can tell you that it is hands down the best mobile app for monitoring process data that I have ever seen. What I like best is that it has the protocol drivers built in to the application, allowing it to communicate directly with the end device.... so no external PC/web server is required.

Their technical support is equally as good!
