has anybody out there got experience of getting a Mitsubishi Alpha2 XL controller with a AL2-GSM modem installed inside it to receive sms?

I've got it all set up in the workshop, it will happily answer data calls, send sms. but wont receive and thus do anything if you send a SMS to the unit, despite having a program that i've seen working on another controller. Any ideas of pointers gratefully recieved.

The XL is software 3.20 and programming ALVS 3.6... The modem is a CONTRIVE AL2.

I don't get any error messages, and the running modem init command is correct from a working unit.

 

Did you ever get this working?

I'm looking at a similar application and want to receive a text string into the Alpha to represent a data word on the remote station and then display textual information relating to the status bits in the word.
Any help would be appreciated.
