Batching Logic - Alias Addressing

Would like to develop code to be used to batch in raw materials to tanks ( based on load cells). There are 8 process tanks, 8 delivery valves and 8 raw material tanks. Need to be able to batch any combination of raw materials (8) into any one of 8 process tanks.
Looking for suggestions on how to use a template code - but then alias the inputs/outputs based on which process or raw materials are selected.
