I have to replace FT100 and FT110 systems with a modern PLC. As a start, I'd like to look at some manuals and eventually buy some of this old hardware along with engineering software.

Who can help me with either?

One detail question for testing: How can I communicate with the I/O? I have an Arcnet gateway, but can I write to inputs and read from outputs without wiring up the actual I/O's?

Joe,

There should be a set of manuals available at the site, both hard copy and electronic versions.

Both of these PLC's are now obsolete and manufacture of new hardware was discontinued many years ago but there are some companies who can still supply spares from old stock.

As a former En-Tronic Controls engineer now working for an independent specialist turbine controls company, we would be pleased to help support your old FT100 / FT110 systems, and are experienced in providing a full controls retrofit service in a choice of modern PLCs. Please contact me for further information at:

For testing purposes it is possible to force all I/O points on FT110 systems but only digital I/O on FT100 systems. The value of any I/O point can be monitored on both systems.
