Hi there,

Calm down Ahmed, all in good time. Your already on the right track in understanding the difference about getting the job due to good qualifications and paper work and actually doing the job. Realizing what you know and can do and what your limitations are is a good thing at this early stage because the engineer that knows nothing and the engineer that knows a lot are the safe engineers. It is the engineer that thinks he know a lot that is dangerous and the one making mistakes.

You make me think back to the days when I was still a soldier and the first time we went into enemy territories. We all go off the plane with the rifle close at hand and ready for anything. After a month we would get up in the morning and take the fishing rods to go and get some breakfast and leave the rifle in the tent.

Get to know your environment and you will find everything is not as bad and dangerous as your mind made it to be at first.

Some advice it to make sure you understand your basic concepts of I&C and tackle any job by applying these basic concepts and you will be alright, and do not be to high and mighty to listen to advice from someone that have been there longer than you regardless of his or her position in the company. You are after experience now and one of the quick ways to pick up experience is to listen to people around you that has been there for a while already.
