Hi,

We have machine gas turbine GE frame 9fa. during start up and at speed about 2650 r.p.m the unit tripped with the alarm "INLET GUIDE VANE CONTROL FAULT TRIP" and before this alarm the another alarm came "loss of compressor discharge pressure bias." and it is observed that the IGV not moving from start to this speed. it is still 26 degree.
what can i do for this problem.

Thanks,

Hai,

Well, mostly this type of problem due to choked servo valve, remove it and clean / replace the servo filter and try to do stoke check.

Observe the field area, any obstruction is there to prevent cylinder movement.

In FR-9E minimum IGV angle should be 34 deg. i don't know 26 deg will allow the unit to start (one of the start checks) in FR-9FA.

Hope it'll show some lights
