Interfacing of LM35 with ADC0804

I want to read temperature from LM35. I am using P89V51RD2BN and interfaced Lm35 using ADC0804. I have not connected Vref pin. But whatever the room temperature is my output is 016. Plz can anyone forward me circuit diagram and code in c..I dnt knw assembly.
