I have ION Meters 7650 with -1to1mA analog output card, and on the other end there is Mitsubishi system having an Analog input cards with 4-20mA scale. how i can calculate and scale down the value, so it can be read correctly on Mitsubishi end.

You cannot use a meter with a -1 to +1 mA output directly with a 4-20 mA input.

Either get a compatible input module or some kind of signal conditioner.

The easiest solution might be a resistor and a +/- 10V input.

It will be better if you go for Signal Conditioner, which will take I/P as -1 to 1mA and will give out put as 4 - 20 mA. This out put signal can be used in your Mitsubishi system.

Otherwise change your ion meter with the one with 4 - 20 mA. What matters is the cost of the product. Signal conditioner will be a better solution.

I think you can change Analog Outputs in the ION meter from -1-1 to 0 - 20 mA (check the manual), commonly PLCs analog inputs can be also configured to 0-20 mA. In this case you don't need any other hardware between. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, i actually had a plan to change the card, and now its 0-20mA which needed scaling as the other end has 4-20mA card.

Thanks for the replies and help to every one...
