Has anyone ever modified or changed Gas Turbine MF-111B’s fuel gas air purge valves or air purging control sequence from the original design to resolve fuel gas purge air valves leak?
Due to continuous purging with around 420 degC hot air when running on liquid fuel, the purge air block valves degraded over the time and leak when need to be tight shutoff. Tight shutoff is critical to prevent fuel gas backflow into the purge air line when the gas turbine is running on gas fuel.
Kindly share your experience on this particular issue and advice how it was resolved.
