Basically i want to build flow simulator for testing flow computers in the industry. Presently i want to create flow simulator for Turbine flow meter and Vertex flow meter. Here i want to get pulses from serial output port of the computer. Using C programming and interfacing with RS232 is it possible to get pulses at the output of the serial port of the PC? My need is to generate some definite number of pulses from PC according to demand. Number of pulses needed can be entered using PC and exactly that amount of pulses computer should produce at the output i.e at the serial port. Please provide me appropriate solution.
