i have a question on valve calibration that is done on line ie, the valve limits 0% and 100 % are set when the flow meter (dp cell and orifice plate) start reading flow (valve position 10 % when the flowmeter starts measuring flow)
and when the flow no longer increases (the valve stroke is 80 %).
so instead of operating the valve from 0 -100 % u operate at 10 - 80 %.
Is this a good practice, or is this type of method just hiding incorrect calibration issues
