I have SIL loop of 2 OF 3 voting in my plant. Does each signal goes to separate input card in PLC??

or is it ok to connect them in one card, (it will reduce the number of cards I need to buy, but is this ok to do).

The same question for 1 of 2D voting.

And why do you use 2oo3 instead of standard loop?

It is a design criteria, if connecting to 1 card provides sufficient availability, then yes.

You have to calculate PFD for both cases and see what you need. I think IEC 60079 has all the methods.
