Hello Everyone.
I am facing a peculiar problem in establishing HART communication with ABB transmitters. I have powered the transmitter with 24 V DC, used a 250 ohms resistance in the loop, and plugged the HART communicator in the communication port of the transmitter.
When the loop current is 4 mA up to 12 mA, the transmitter communicates well with the HART communicator. However, once the loop current goes beyond 13 mA, the "communication Error" message pops up. Any possible solutions?
I have not faced any problems in HART communication with any other make of transmitters (SMAR, Rosemount, Autrol).
Please suggest.
