Supposing a case where within a periphery of 1 KM of power plant if two GPS antenna & receivers are installed. These two receivers are made to send time synch. pulses to two different system then would both system time will match with each other or it will differ. Suppose one receiver is giving time synch signal to DCS & other receiver is sending time synch signal to switchyard scada system (both receivers are within one km periphery). In such cases would the DCS time & the switch yard scada time would match or they may not match.
This idea has came to avoid the interlink cable for time synchronization between DCS & Switchyard scada system. In a project SCADA is supplied by some vendor & DCS is supplied by other vendor. In order to avoid project issues between the two vendors we are looking for this solution.
