We are setting up a 12 mw power plant and we need a step up transformer to export power to Grid which is at 22 kv. One of my engineer frd suggest me to go ahead with Ynd11 and another one suggested me to choose Ynd1. please tell me the factor to be considered for the transformer selection with vector group. email me at [email protected]

 

Sriram... because Vector-Group selection is done with internal connections brought to specific external terminals, there is no technical reason one has an advantage over the other

However, I do remember that European manufacturers readily furnished stepdown transformers, such as Dy1, Dy7, and Dy11, at no extra cost, probably for quick delivery, but other Vector Groups required special pricing.
