electric rotary compressor

have a rotary electric air compressor situated in side the paint spray shop with the air intake side facing the the paint booth. however the shot blasters respirity <b>[sic]</b> air is taken from this compressor. can the air intake pull in the paint fumes were it could cause a problem to the shot blasters air intake?
