Yes, there is a relation between fuel and air flow.

It is calculated on the basis of chemical reaction between the reagent present in fuel and the amount of oxygen required for combustion. and the ratio required is controlled by ratio controller.

 

Can you give me more insight into this? How about the excess air? the ratio depends on what factors? What is the ideal ratio?
