Existing system communicating with compactlogix l45 plc with prizm hmi through Modbus TCP/IP Communication using MV169-MNET. Now I need to centralized the system with siemens plc (s7300) &l45 processor. so how can i manage this system. give me the solution if any converter and which type of network is needed. please reply the brief

 

We did this on a project in NY.

The PLCs were tied together with fiber optics and I provided a Prosoft Profibus module at the Allen Bradley end. The Siemens engineer had to do some byte swapping at his end to make the bytes match.

You can use netTap converter from Hilscher. netTap converts Profibus to Modbus TCP/IP.
