Could anybody use prosoft MV169-MCM as slave with AB PLC to carry out MODBUS function? How to program in the logix 5000 subroutine so that tags which we want to be delivered can relate with MVI69-MCM memory address? Could i directly move the tags' value to the MCM.DATA.readdata tags? or move to the MCM.DATA.writedata tags? Which one is correct? or both are wrong? how to program? Any advice is very appreciated.

 

Sometimes you just have to read the manual. Examples using RSLogix5000 are shown as screen shots.

Thanks for your reply. I had read this manual before. According to the page60, i thought we should send our tags to the MCM.writedata area of the MV169 MCM MODbus module to deliver to other device. right? But i saw our previous program for our equipment all moving tags to MCM.readdata area, so I am confused. Even I haven't had this MODBUS module in my hand, so I can't able to verify which one selected is correct? Do you have experience using this type module? Which memory area you will be selected ?
