I am interested in knowing if there is any software that allows to keep all the Modbus mapping lists for multiple vendor systems in one place.
Of course, the most obvious answer is an Excel spreadsheet, however, may be there is something already on the market that can provide this functionality?
I am planning to use this software mainly for maintenance purposes, with periodical minor brownfield modifications.
Initially, our plant was build with using SmartPlant Instrumentation database, and my first urge was to use the same for the Modbus and OPC data as well. However, I was surprised that that software giant doesn't provide such functionality.
Any ideas?

Port40's Automation Management Server (AMS) does this internally for you.
Maps are stored in XML format and are interchangeable across installations. All common Modbus mappings are supported, as are complicated object structures.
