What does INTERLOCK ,(I-40001) for example, give information to one, as shown in P&ID?

1- Does it mean, the soft configuration -logic is configured in DCS with this name??

2-What has LOGIC DIAGRAM to do with Interlock??

3-Has every interlock has logic diagram???

3-And finally how cause & Effect is linked with LOGIC DIAGRAM??..

4-As far as documentation is concerned, please correct me if i am wrong. Firstly after PHA, cause and effect is determined. and then for every cause and effect loop, logic diagram is developed, that shows an idea how this logic has to be implemented... but this logic diagram is only for reference. DCS/ESD Vendor develops his code and configure the system based on Cause and effect (which is input to his scope of work)..

Appreciate your response.

Regards,
Andy
