Hi all

There are some NAMUR contacts in my plant.

Now my question is as NAMUR is low level signal (1.2- 7ma ) current in the circuit.

my control room is 150 meters for away.

Is there any field switch amplifier required to take this signal to that far??

How far I can take this signal??

Thanks

It depends on how much resistance is being driven at the receiving end, but typically milliamp currents will go hundreds of meters with ordinary industrial copper wiring and a DC power supply supplying the recommended voltage.
