Issue with two E&H Cubemass meters

Hi all, I've a bit of a puzzle and hope you can help.
I've got two E&H cubemass flow meters in a product stream both are reading the same mass flow rate and are within limits delivering the same value.
When I add additional pipework to the run by opening a routing valve to the chiller (so backpressure increases by .15 bar) the meter readings on the two meters diverge so they no longer agree. Given that the material flow through the meters is the same product stream why would the readings diverge? Flow rate through the system is about 47 kg/hr
