Using FactoryTalk and Kepware to drive a PLC contact
Human-Machine Interface and SCADA. topic

Hello,

I am fairly new to the field and am looking for a hand.

I have two tags in my Kepserver both monitoring PLC contacts. I have been trying to use the FactoryTalk even log to input a logic statement that will force on one of the contacts if the other is turned on.

To add to the problem that I am having both PLC's are on different subnets and I believe this may be my underlying issue.

Is there anywhere where a gateway needs to be declaired within FactoryTalk when writing an eventlog???

I am at the point where I am able to force on the contacts on Proworx and I am getting the one bit on the kepware but both bits are being controlled from different subnets as I said.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you think I am going about this entirely the wrong way please feel free to rip me a new one.

Thanks!!
