Atlas copco electronikon IV: Invalid response to query

i am trying to connect an atlas copco electronikon IV with modsca 32. The error is "invalid response to query". What are the checks to be done regarding this error? please help. i am an amateur and trying know about modbus and studying literatures. Please help, thanks
