I want to calculate the power consumption of my plant. Can i directly calculate from my MCC (motor control center) incomer current reading.formula i m going to use is P = 1.732*V*I*pf.

actually i want to display the current power consumption of plant on dcs screen at control room.

With only the current you can calculate an approximation of the power if you know the typical power factor of your plant. For exact value to DCS, you will need a power meter with analog output or communication capability (modbus, profibus or others).
