Adressing change of VnetIPOpen-Bus2 - Centum VP
Engineering and workplace issues. topic
Posted by Lalek on 28 September, 2012 - 6:04 am
I want to change the network addressing BUS2-Open
in my DCS - Centum VP ver.4.03(Yokogawa).
Target range should be in Class B on 140.80.0.x.
Now I have the following configuration (recommended in the manual):
BUS1(VnetIP) - 172.16.1.x, x - station number
BUS2(VnetIPOpen)- 192.168.129.128+x

Are there any contraindications? How can I properly addressed?

Best regards
Lalek

Bus1 and Bus2 should have the same ip class range.
If u r using 192.168.X.x (X=domain, x=station no.)
then Bus1 should be 192.168.1.64 and Bus2 should be 192.168.129.192.

Thank you for the quick response.

Such addressing what I gave, is working for many years with no problems. It was controlled by the specialists of the Yokogawa company and had no objections. I mean the addresses defined in the properties of the network connections. It is true that the address 172.16.1.64 is converted to 192.168.129.64. At the command "ping" both addresses correspond.

There are four places in the project, which defines the IP addresses:
1 - HIS station properties
a) Control bus TCP / IP settings
b) Ethernet TCP / IP settings
2 - properties of network connections (TCP / IP) in Windows
a) Adapter for Yokogawa Vnet
b) Adapter Vnet Open for Yokogawa

What address should I type in these four places that the station was seen on the outside (eg remote desktop) with address:
140.80.0.192
Domain = 1
Station =64

Best regards
