I am trying to find a way to measure a liquid flow. The only problem is that the liquid is a liquid metal at 530 oC!. I was thinking about:

- Ultrasonic,

- Use a Magmeter 2 inch larger than the line size and use oil as a cooler to protect the mag,

- Maybe same thing for the ultrasonic

- dP Would not work, unfortunately,

- Others???

Please let me know as this is a critical application and we are having problem in our ingot quality.

Talk to GE Panametrics. Ultrasonics have been used for many years on hot metal flows such as liquid sulfur and others.
