Gas Turbine Fire Mode

I want to know about the FIRE MODE function in GE Gas turbines. When and why GT started on FIRE MODE?

and if selected, fire mode machine speed will increase or it will stay at certain speed or it will go to FSNL? and controllers will take over in normal GT operation sequence?

If FIRE mode is selected from shut down condition, when START command is given, the gas turbine will roll off, purge and fire. After firing, fuel will be reduced to warmup setting. The turbine will remain in this condition until either ACCELERATE or AUTO is selected. The speed is not controlled, but will likely increase somewhat. Once ACCELERATE or AUTO is selected, the turbine will accelerate to FSNL. If AUTO is selected, synchronization will be permitted, either automatic or manual, depending on which type is selected.

If the unit was on CRANK when FIRE was selected, the gas turbine will drop to firing speed and fire. Otherwise, same as above.

SB,

control.com has a 'Search' feature at the far right of the Menu Bar. The GE-design heavy duty gas turbine control community has been pretty active here on control.com for a about a decade. Most questions--like this one have been asked, some many times, like this one.

Try this thread:

www.control.com/thread/1323403396#1323528992

Or, try this search term (with the double quotes):

"fire mode"

If you still have questions, ask. But, do use the very valuable and extensive body of information which has accumulated here over the years. That's the real value of forums like this: the body of information that's available, not so much the ability to ask questions but the questions that have already been asked and answered.

Research and read, and if you still have questions--ask! You might have to read several threads to find all the information you seek but I'm pretty confident you will learn much more than you started out to discover.

Also, read the very brief 'Search' help to make better use of the feature.
