Hotwell condenser level fluctuates with temperature and vacuum. When a cooling tower fan is turned on the temperature drops and the vacuum decreases and the level of the condenser on screen shows that it is maintaining a zero (0) level. However the level in the sight glass is far below the zero mark, aprox -4 to -6. We've blown out the transmitter several times and have released some air from it. Kind of new to the field, could really use a point of direction.

1-By your point first Vacuum why drop in your process ?

2- what is technology and method you are using at your plant for Level?

3-Check your transmitter perfectly Calibrate and Level controller Perfectly Tune to control this level.

4-if DP transmitter for level measurement it could be not working well because of Vacuum and Steam in Condenser.

when problem started? Is calibration, piping and mounting location good/proper? temp will drop as fan started. provide your inputs with details and we can help to resolve. but please have us all details when problem started and what have you done to resolve the matter.
