Transformer Multiple Grounding

Two transformers to be parallel, 132/33kv and 11/33kv, I was told by a client to use single point earthing, it means only one transformer connected to the ground at one time, the other is left opened, My question are:

1) Why use single point grounding? - My opinion, grounding is not necessary except for the safety reason and for ground fault protection except for the case of transformer LV 415V.

2) Why not multiple grounds?, each transformer has its own grounding system, - my opinion, same as generators multiple grounding system, to limit the fault current and for protection coordination.

Why use single grounding? My first thought would be because that's what the customer wants.
