As we open the generator rotor we found some metal particles inside the generator. One stator bar was shorted to core. we are now replacing that bar with a new one. But the very problem is that the surface of the core face was also damaged and all the thin layers are shorted to each-other. it is now question how to repair them. it is quite impossible to replace all them or any of them. we want to make them separated to each-other. what may be the process? Does anybody has any experience regarding such maintenance, please share. some advised to use sulfuric acid. if so what may be the percentage of that solution? I hope here are many experienced and knowledgeable persons to advise about this fact.
