Looking for a switch for a rotary encoder. 2 inputs for 1 output selectable by a contact closure or something like that. Anyone has a idea?

 

Try a company called NorthStar Technologies Inc in OH www.northstar-tec.com They have a product which is designed to eliminate downtime due to encoder failures where it will automaticaly switch to a second encoder should a failure happen but I am sure you could do this manually if that is what you want.
