I have an application that should return to the top level screen upon <esc>, but it no longer does so, it leaves you at a blank screen with the command line. I seem to remember an appnote or patch relative to this, but it's been too many years. Anyone else remember this?

 

You might want to try the command TOPLEVELON at the command line, which enables the TOPLEVEL macro. If memory serves (and it's been a lot of years for me too), if you run the TOPLEVELOFF command from the command line, the TOPLEVEL functionality remains off, even the next time you start ControlView, unless you have a TOPLEVELON command in your Startup macro. Another thing to check is that the TOPLEVEL macro exists and has a valid command (e.g. "DISPLAY Mainmenu /E") HTH
