What practice to be followed:
1. If we have an requirement of ATEX certification with Ex-ia by the organization (Europe).
2. The instrument (Integral, Mag. flow meter) is installed in Zone -1 gas group IIC area.
3. Output required is IS passive 4-20 mA HART.
4. What should be the preferable input power supply.
5. Can we go with 230 VAC power supply as input?
My assumption is that we can not use 230VAC for IS protection technique. But can we use integral flow meters with 230VAC in flameproof enclosures and simultaneously electronic circuitry in the same enclosure compatible for IS barriers. I want to know whether this is a standard practice???
