sir,
i am trying to use a 12 volt brushless dc motor as dc generator. Will this be able to produce enough voltage and current to charge a 12 volt lead acid battery?

Almost without exception, these motors are not usable as generators. They could possibly be modified to act as alternators with a rectifier. Most are actually akin to a stepper or PM AC motor with electronics providing the sequential drive.

Any Dc motor should be able to be used as a generator with the addition of a blocking diode to prevent the battery being charged from powering the motor.

That's not true of brushless DC motors. The DC is converted to AC to run the motor. There is no reason for that to work in reverse.
