Degrees for Automation Engineers, what's out there?

This has always proved to be a very hard question to answer.

Our company (EETech, the one that owns Control.com) is hoping to do more outreach to help provide resources for both students and for teachers, just to help give more people the best possible leg-up on a career.

Here's my problem.

Many people get into controls and automation from military or work experience, or roundabout with another somewhat related degree (like M.E.). Obviously, those are excellent paths, but if we were to reach out to specific schools, are there any specific degrees or certificates that would be the right place to look? Or, are there any schools that you know of that excel at teaching specifically industrial automation skills?

So far, I have run across:
- ME or EE with an emphasis/specialty in mechatronics
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Electromechanical Technologies

As much as I'd like to think there is Automation Engineering or Robotics Engineering, I can't relly find school that offer programs by those names.

Maybe some of you are aware of schools or programs that are doing a really good job of teaching good entry-level skills so they can hit the ground running?
