I'm writing about DCS control with traditional I/O but I have to compare to Remote I/O and Fieldbus.
I've read Furios comparison and DeltaV one but I need something more to understand what are REMOTE and DISTRIBUTED I/Os.

Can you help me find more information?

 

the main difference among the two cases is the non necessity to wire all the signals for long itineraries until the cards of I/O of the DCS, that is to say you can distribute along the plant cabinets where all the s signals are wired and then it only communicates them to the DCS for a single cable which can be redundant, also another great difference is the possibility to use the protocol HART for the analogical signs
