what are you asking? PID controller parameters, like gain, integal and deritive or three-element control models?

hai,

to maintain the normal level in the steam drum we are using 3 element control,in that we are taking the measurements of feed water flow drum level,drum press. and steam flow, steam temp.

from that we control the feed water flow by 3 control valves i.e. the final control elements. In that one is continuous but low pass control valve,another two valves are full capacity but only one valve for working next is bypass for emergency.

which electrical motor (induction/step) is used for controlling valve of feedwater? what will be specifications of electric motor for 500MW Thermal power plant?

 

GS... the BFW Pump requirement is non-linear, that is it varies as the square of Boiler pressure.

Example: for a 2,400 psi plant the BFW power required is (ca) 2.5%; a 5,500 psi plant requires (ca) 6.0%!
