Who agrees that a High Speed Counter is considered to be a motion product? My opinion is that high speed counters are primarly used in motion applications, is this true?
An arguable point, I think. A counter example would be be counting parts going by on a conveyor. If the parts are small and the conveyor is fast, a HSC may be necessary.
Having said that, it is true that many high-speed counters are used as a poor-man's encoder, especially where equipment runs only in one direction.
