MAN B&W governor upgrade (slow speed diesel)

I'm looking for ideas of manufacturer/systems to use for upgrading a MAN B&W 40 MW slow speed 2stroke diesel that is used for power generation (stationary application, base load) burning heavy fuel oil (#6) with the possibility of doing duel fuel LNG in the future.

The current control system is Woodward 537+721+PLC. The PLC is another brand and it controls all the sequencing of startup/shutdown and safety systems. PLC only controls key engine systems. The PLC does not control the entire BOP (balance of plant).

The actuator is a Woodward UG.

The desire is to incorporate engine control and PLC functions into one unit. Additionally, in the future the remainder of the plant is going to be upgraded to DCS (though it will probably be PLC based, but "DCS style"). This means easily integration of engine controls with future DCS is important (via OPC, ModBus, FF, Ethernet, etc).

Trending or ability to export data to a separate historian would be a nice feature, but not required.

Any ideas on systems that would be a good fit for this duty?
